Professional installation

Alarm systems designed for real-world risk

Not all intruder alarms are equal. A system that satisfies an insurer, qualifies for police response and provides genuine protection must be designed and installed to the correct standard - not just plugged in.

Our engineers design alarm systems based on a thorough risk assessment of your property. We specify the right grade of system, the correct detection coverage, and appropriate signalling to ensure you're fully protected and compliant.

  • Grade 2 domestic and Grade 3 commercial systems

System grades

Which grade do you need?

BS EN 50131 defines security grades based on the level of risk and the knowledge assumed of a potential intruder.

Grade 2 - Domestic

Suitable for most homes and small businesses. Assumes intruders have limited knowledge of alarm systems. Required by most home insurers for police response.

Grade 3 - Commercial

For higher-risk commercial premises. Assumes a more experienced intruder with tools. Often required by commercial insurers for high-value stock or cash.

Confirmed alarm signalling

Sequential confirmation via CCTV or multiple detection before signalling police. Compliant with BS 8243 and required for a police URN in Wales.

Remote access & app control

Set and unset your alarm from your smartphone. Receive instant notifications and view event logs wherever you are.

FAQs

Common questions

To obtain a police URN (Unique Reference Number) in Wales, your system must be installed by an NSI-approved contractor and use confirmed alarm signalling (BS 8243). We install systems to this standard and will apply for your URN as part of the commission process.
Both have merits. Wired systems are more reliable long-term with no battery changes; wireless is quicker to install with less disruption to your property. We install both and will recommend the best option for your specific situation during the survey.
For monitored systems, our ARC (alarm receiving centre) is notified immediately. Depending on your response plan, they will call your keyholders, contact the police, or both. For unmonitored systems, an audible bell/siren activates and a notification is sent to your smartphone.
Annual servicing is required to maintain NSI compliance and police response eligibility. Our maintenance visit includes a full functional test of every detector, sounder, control panel and signalling path, plus a written inspection report.
